With the largest network of cosmetology schools in North America and four locations in New York, Empire Beauty School trains twenty thousand students each year. If you are considering a career in cosmetology, get to know the programs available through Empire Beauty School.
The New York sites, located in Astoria, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Peeskill, all offer cosmetology courses, with the Manhattan location offering a make-up artistry curriculum in addition. The cosmetology program covers both basic and advanced techniques in cosmetology, as well as providing business development training to enhance students’ marketing and communication skills. Hands-on experience is a pillar of the Empire program, and students are able to practice, and subsequently master, the techniques they’ve learned in the classroom on real live clients.
Empire Beauty Schools have Career Planning Specialists at every campus, guiding graduates through the beginning stages of securing a salon position and building their cosmetology careers. Additionally, Empire Beauty Schools maintains a partnership with the Regis Corporation, a company that manages 12,000 salons nationwide, including Regis Salons, Supercuts, Mastercuts, and Jean Louis David. Thousands of graduates are placed with positions in these salons.
All New York locations participate in community outreach initiatives, most notable Empire’s National Day of Beauty. This event raises funds and awareness about domestic violence. Other special events held at the New York sites are fashion and beauty shows, as well as local and national competitions that allow students to show off their talents and highlight their skills. At the Brooklyn location, night classes are available. All New York locations, along with the 84 other Empire locations across the country, are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences. Due to this accreditation status, Empire Beauty Schools are eligible for Title IV financial aid and loan offerings, which can include federal grants and low-cost federal loans. Grants do not need to be repaid and many loans do not need to be repaid until you’ve graduated and been out of school for six months, making a beauty education at an Empire Beauty School affordable.
