Frayed edges on your jeans can have a messy and unsophisticated look. When your jeans are too long, they can drag on the ground, causing the edges to fray and tear. If you have noticed the ends of your favorite pair of jeans beginning to fray, a new hem will prevent further fraying and restore the appearance of your pants. You can sew a hem with a sewing machine or by hand to get similar results.
