Though a handheld, gas-powered tiller isn't something you can make at home, a drag-behind tiller that attaches to a four-wheeler or tractor is. A drag-behind tiller is a tiller that attaches to the hitch on a powered vehicle, and that drags across the ground when the vehicle is driven, breaking up the dirt so that the ground can be farmed or altered. You can make a drag-behind tiller using recycled material and basic construction tools.
