When it comes to summer pedicures, neon brights, shiny metallics, neutrals, and of course, classic pinks and reds are going to be some of the hottest looks. Here are a few suggestions for your summer pedicure:

The Classics

You can never go wrong with a pink or red. Red is a timeless nail shade that works with both formal and day-to-day events. Try OPI’s “Big Apple Red” or Chanel’s “Dragon” for a bold red that’s sure to impress. If you prefer a more mysterious look, go for a deep red like “Wicked” by Essie. A pink polish is another popular choice that will really bring out your feminine side. Elf’s “Bubblegum Pink” and ULTA’s “Berry-Go-Round” are two great summer shades to try for an eye-popping pink. For a softer look, try a light, creamy color like Essie’s “Fiji.”

Neutrals

For a more understated, chic look take on a neutral tone. A neutral nail color is sure to enhance your summer tan and great for the girl who wants a calmer, barely-there look. Neutral polish is a safe choice for the workplace or an interview and will never appear over-the-top. Check out Maybelline’s “Blushing Bride,” “Nude Chic” Dior Vernis nail polish, or one of the three tones in the “Touch Collection” by Zoya for a soft, sophisticated and feminine nail style.

Bright Neons

Bright oranges, yellows, and blues are a hot trend this summer and sure to liven up your look. For that summer beach look, Essie is the way to go. In the “Resort” collection, you’ll find “Turquoise and Caicos,” a tropical aqua creamy tone that will give you a cool, breezy look. The bolder fashionista should check out Essie’s latest collection, “Color Me Braziliant.” The vibrant, bold tones of this collection scream summer fun. Keep your eyes out for the “Braziliant” polish, a hot orange with an underlying shimmer that is sure to turn heads. Go bold with bright yellows to mimic the summer sun, like Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri “Lightning” nail color.

Metallics

For an edgier look, pick up some shimmering metallic colors in gold, silver, or purple. This type of nail polish is great for an eye-catching summer night look. Metallic colors tend to attract a lot of attention and work great as a pedicure color. Try “Guilty” by In The Mood for a swirled purple and blue metallic color. Gold and silver are always great summer pedicure colors that give a glamorous shine. Colors like LA Girl Metallic nail polish in “Sterling” or “Charge It” by OPI are great summer nightlife colors for your feet!
