With some fresh ingredients and a little care, you can make an incredible salsa that will be the hit of your next meal or big gathering. Salsa recently has become the most popular condiment in the United States of America. You can serve it with tortilla chips, use it to top a hamburger or burrito and even use it as a vegetable dip. To really blow your guests away at your next party, you are going to want to make a salsa that goes beyond the ordinary.
It will take about 5 minutes to make your incredible salsa, and you will need the following ingredients: 3 large tomatoes, 1 finely chopped onion, 1 minced green bell pepper, a 4-ounce can of chopped green chilies with their juice, 1 minced clove of garlic, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 finely diced red onion, 1 diced avocado, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper and the juice of 2 limes. In addition to your ingredients, you will need a sharp knife and a cutting board. You will also need measuring spoons, measuring cups, a large mixing bowl, a mixing spoon, a serving spoon and a serving bowl.
Once you have chopped and measured all of your ingredients, place them all in your large mixing bowl. With your spoon, gently combine the ingredients. You want your ingredients mixed together, but you do not want to lose the texture of your tomatoes and onions. If you would like a little more heat in your salsa, you can slowly add a little chili powder until you have the desired amount of heat.
Use your serving spoon to transfer your salsa from your large mixing bowl to your serving bowl. Serve your hummus with white flour or corn tortilla chips. Your hummus will serve 4 to 6 guests.
