Learning how to use argan oil in your hair is more than worth the effort, especially if you have experienced problems with dry, frizzy hair in the recent past. Many people have never heard of argan oil, which is likely why there is so much confusion about how to utilize it properly. Fortunately, argan oil is rather easy to use, especially for those who are familiar with putting products in their hair. The following tips and information can help you to determine if argan oil is for you and, if so, how to use it correctly.

Argan Oil and How it Works
Argan oil is derived from the kernels of a tree that is indigenous to Morocco called the argan tree. Rich in phenols, carotene and vitamin e, this oil is extremely effective when it comes to adding life and body to one’s hair. As a result, argan oil can be found in a variety of different forms at salons and other stores that sell beauty products. While the oil can sometimes be purchased in pure form, it is typically found in the form of dilutions, and can even be mixed into foams, gels and other forms of beauty products. Not surprisingly, argan oil can be quite expensive, especially when purchased in one of its more pure forms. That said, the effects are often considered to be well worth the cost, especially for individuals whose hair is in need of deep repair.
How to Use Argan Oil in Your Hair
Once you’ve purchased a bottle of argan oil, it’s time to determine how to best use it in order to improve the quality of your hair. There are a variety of different ways to go about using argan oil, the first of which being in the form of a hot oil treatment. Place the bottle of argan oil into a container of hot water for at least ten minutes, which will heat up the oil and allow it to be utilized more easily. Once the oil is warm enough, massage it into your hair as deeply as possible, taking care to focus on the roots and dry ends. Place a warm towel over your hair for a few minutes to allow the oil to soak in, and then wash your hair in the shower with shampoo and conditioner.
If the above technique does not seem to be effective for you, it may be wise to consider putting in the argan oil after your shower. Argan oil is extremely light in comparison to other types of oils, which means that it will not leave your hair feeling even remotely greasy if applied and then left to dry. First, wash your hair as normal. Then, apply a small amount of argan oil and massage it into your scalp as deeply as possible. Place a warm towel over your hair for a few minutes and allow the oil to soak in. Afterwards, simply allow the oil to dry naturally and go about the rest of your day.
