Wearing green eyeliner may seem intimidating at first, but this bold color is a great way to experiment with this season's trends. Here are two foolproof ways to rock this color.

Bright and On Lid

This summer, one of the emerging makeup trends is bright and bold shadow and liner. If you’re going to go with green eyeliner, this summer is definitely the time to do it. To pull off this look, go to your favorite makeup store (it could be a department store, beauty supply store, or pharmacy) and pick the most vibrant, boldest green liner you can muster up the courage to buy. Rush back home and think about the way you’d normally apply black liner to your top lid; this is essentially what you’re going to do with the green liner. Take the eyeliner and make a semi-thick line above your lash line. The color will seem intense at first but the whole point of this trend is to be bold and daring. Since you’re limiting the color to the lid only the impact of the color will be pretty minimal while your eye is open. The real flash of color will occur every time you blink and your whole lid is exposed for a split second.

Dark and Sultry

Another way to wear green eyeliner is to pick a color that is close to black and substitute it for a more natural version of black eyeliner. This will look great on everyone but is especially compelling if you have flecks of green in your eyes, as it will enhance them. Good colors for this application are emerald, hunter green, and green-black. Line your waterlines with the liner as well as your top lash line. Keeping the green dark will make it almost appear black in the shade, but pop when the sun hits it just right.
