Ideas for Designing a Small Man Cave

Regardless of the size of the space you have to work with, there are plenty of different ways to turn just about any living area into a full-fledged man cave. To begin, all you need to do is designate a certain area of your home as your new man cave. While a basement is usually the first choice for new man cave, you can make do with just about any type of room or space.

Next, you should make a list of the top items you would like to have in your man cave. Typically, a big-screen television is foremost on this list along with a nice couch or seating area. If you're shopping for a new big-screen television, consider purchasing a high definition flat screen television. By shopping around and comparing prices at your local retailers, you should be able to find a high-quality flat screen television at a reasonable price.

Before installing your TV, though, you may wish to add a full entertainment center to your man cave. A high-quality entertainment center can give you plenty of space to store your video game consoles, video games, DVDs and CDs. Alternatively, you can simply mount the flat screen television to the wall, but you'll still want to purchase a coffee table or other small piece of furniture to store your various electronic devices.

Consider purchasing a decent sound system to complement your new TV. You can install the speakers above and behind your couch-receiving era to create a great surround sound effect.

If possible, you should try to add a basic mini fridge to your man cave so you have easy access to beer, soda and other snacks. Finally, you may want to add a table game or dartboard to complete your man cave.
