The Most Stylish Rain Boots of 2011

By Lesley Bracker , last updated May 23, 2011

Buying a new pair of rain boots is fun! There's something inherently whimsical about the 2011 rain boots that makes looking for a new pair a fun experience.

Hunter

It's not just about function anymore, but style. This all started with the classic-rain-boot-turned-trendy a couple seasons ago, with Hunter splashing onto the scene as more than just the Queen's wellingtons that she wears when visiting Balmoral. Hunter began making rain boots over 150 years ago, creating the Wellington Boot in Scotland. They come in bright colors like Hot Pink, Turquoise and even Silver, which all add a dash of fun to your rainy day outfit. The original Hunter Welly is about $125. No rain will get into your foot at all, there is no leakage and these boots last a lifetime. Tuck your skinny leg jeans into the knee-high boots for a super hot look. In the summer, you can even wear these with cut off jean shorts or a cute girly floral dress!

Treton

Treton makes rain boots now, and they're super cute. They're about $70, and come in a rainbow of colors. The boot hits the mid-calf, and looks great with just about everything. These are sure to get a lot of compliments because they're so unique.

Chinese Laundry

Chinese Laundry are the least expensive, at about $50, and look like the Hunter Welly, but come in stripes and prints, even animal prints! They even make a rubber high top tennis shoe for a totally different twist on the rain boot. If you like the look of a motorcycle boot, why not try them in rubber? Want a tie dyed welly? You'll find them here.

No matter what brand of rubber rain boot you choose, you'll have a great time looking, and your mood will be uplifted despite the weather.
