With Valentine’s Day almost upon us, planning the perfect romantic dinner for two is a surefire way to make the holiday even more special.
For the Champagne Girl
Red roses, hearts and candles may sound cheesy, but to a traditional girl, nothing could be more perfect. Planning a dinner involving plates you can share, like spaghetti and meatballs, a la "Lady and the Tramp," work well to set the mood. For appetizers, you could chop up some tomatoes, basil and garlic, and top some olive oil toasted bread for a quick and easy bruschetta.
And for dessert…chocolate covered strawberries & a chilled glass of Prosecco will work wonders!
For the Beer Girl
Frilly frou-frou might work on your average girl, but to the girl who’d rather hang with the guys at a sports bar instead of high tea, a little care has to be put into your menu. She’ll appreciate the extra care you’ve taken to notice that she’s not your average girl.
Plus, all you really need is a heart-shaped cookie cutter! To start you could make a caprese salad by cutting out little heart shaped mozzarella slices, and layering them with tomato and basil slices before drizzling with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For an entre, try a pepperoni pizza (but cut little hearts out of your pepperoni before cooking!). And for dessert, heart-shaped brownies with a scoop of ice cream will work wonders.
For the Vodka & Red Bull Girl
For someone who likes to party hard and have a good time, simple but dangerous always equals fun. Why not try a DIY fondue dinner? Warm melted cheese, bite-sized morsels of food on long skewers, all over an open flame is sure to get her excitement flared.
Plus you can finish off your death defying meal with some chocolate cupcakes topped with flaming strawberries.
For the Prohibition Cocktail Girl
Clearly you’re dating a foodie. Take her somewhere nice and let a celebrity chef do all the heavy lifting.
