Below you will find a countdown of the four most popular kinds of Easter candy.

This spring, millions of people will fill their Easter baskets with sweet and timeless candy. From chocolate bunnies to Peeps, Easter candy is loved and purchased so much that it ranks only behind Halloween in candy purchases.

Cadbury Cream Eggs

Not even a century old, many love this English favorite. The Cadbury Cream Egg is a chocolate candy outside filled with a sugary cream. When opened, it resembles a cracked egg. While still produced in England, this American favorite has been made under the Hershey’s company for nearly 30 years.

Jelly Beans

With more than 100 flavors of candy, jellybeans are a sure crowd pleaser at Easter. Jelly Beans are one of the oldest candies enjoyed by Americans. While many companies make jellybeans, the company Jelly Belly is almost synonymous with the popular candy and holds the number one spot in jellybean sales.

Peeps

Americans have enjoyed Peeps for over sixty years. The marshmallow candies with a sugary coating are the second most popular candy and are found at almost every store as soon as the Valentine’s candy disappears. Originally made in only one flavor, Peeps can now be purchased in many flavors and shapes to please even the pickiest candy-lover.

Chocolate Bunny

When shopping for Easter candy, you can never go wrong with a chocolate bunny. Hollow or filled, chocolate bunnies take the number one spot for popular Easter candy. Each year, there are approximately 90 million chocolate bunnies made of all shapes and sizes.

Most Americans will fill their Easter baskets this year with sweet goodies. From chocolate to jelly beans, Easter candy remains a popular choice for a springtime treat.
