Quick Bathroom Cleaning Tips

For most individuals, cleaning takes up too much time that could be spent doing other, more important things, especially when it comes to the bathroom. Here are a few simple tricks to make life easier on you and to get the job done faster!

Glass doors and shower walls are notorious for the unattractive alkaline deposits they accumulate, not to mention the fact that they seem to reappear right after you clean them! After removing the spots, if you apply a car wax to the doors and wall, it will slow their reappearance. Do not apply to the floor, as this could cause a major safety hazard. This application only needs to be reapplied twice a year but it can save you a massive amount of time throughout the year! All you will have to do is wipe the doors and walls to remove buildup because the wax will seep into the pores, preventing the alkaline from becoming too tough to remove.

For windows and mirrors, use 1/3 cup white vinegar and 1/4 rubbing alcohol to quickly and efficiently cut through all the nonsense that seems to make it onto the windows over night. If this isn't getting the job done for you, add in a tablespoon of automatic dishwashing detergent to really get it working.

Stop fussing with trying to clean those plastic shower curtains. Just throw them in the washer. If you spray with an orange-based cleaning solution prior and allow it to sit for 10 minutes, it should come out looking brand new.

To prevent rings around your toilet from reappearing too often, pour one or two cups of white vinegar into the toilet. If you do this about once a month, it should help to completely eliminate the issue. To remove alkaline deposits and other grime from your faucet and sink, wrap a rag soaked in white vinegar around the faucet while pouring 1/2 cup into a plugged sink. Allow to sit for 10 minutes and then scrub away.
