Scholarships for Mexican Students 2011

Scholarships for Mexican students in 2011 are essential for enabling worthy individuals to attend college. With the economy in dire straits, many families find themselves at a financial disadvantage and require a helping hand to send their children to schools of higher learning. If you are a student of Mexican heritage, you will want to investigate the following scholarships so that you can achieve all of your educational goals.
Mexican and other Latino students who are enrolled in an accredited four year college or university are eligible for the Accenture Si: The New American Workforce Scholarship and Internship Program, which awards scholarships of $3,000. The deadline for application is November 15, 2011, and to be considered, students must major in business, computer science or engineering, mathematics, science or engineering and should maintain a grade point average of at least 3.0.
The Mexican Scholarship Fund is available to students of Mexican descent who are attending or planning to attend college and maintain a grade point average of at least 3.3. Students must display financial need for the award, and preference is given to individuals who reside in the state of Indiana.
The Hispanic Scholarship CSU Stanislaus awards scholarships in the amount of $3,000 each to students who are of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Central American, Caribbean or South American heritage. To be eligible for the award, the individual must maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average and should be a resident of California. In addition, the student must be enrolled at California State University at Stanislaus on a full time basis.
The Ben Hill Griffin Inc., Cinco de Mayo Scholarship awards scholarships in varying amounts to students who are direct descendants of Mexican farm working families. The individual must have a demonstrated financial need and should be enrolled on a full time basis at South Florida Community College. They must also maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and perform at least 20 hours of community service at Sonshine House of Avon Park.
