Shopping the Brunello Cucinelli Collection

Brunello Cucinelli is a high end Italian fashion designer best known for its cashmere products. However, the brand also makes a full line of great clothing for women, many of which use his brand making cashmere. Cucinelli tends to favor classic looks over modern ones, and uses a fairly restrained color palette. In what follows, you can find out lots more about some of the best things to look for in the Brunello Cucinelli collection.

You can find Brunello Cucinelli in many high end boutiques, as well as in department stores like Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue. The brand is likely best known for its sweaters, which are highlighted in its Fall 2011 collection. The striped ribbed sweater is one great look. The English rib knit sweater has a look that somewhat resembles the classic rugby jersey look, featuring polo side slits for an athletic appearance. The brown sweater has large red stripes, a mock collar, dropped shoulders, a pullover style and is made entirely of Brunello Cucinelli's notable ultra-soft cashmere. For a slightly edgier Brunello Cucinelli sweater look, consider the Cropped Tweed Pullover, a feminine sweater with batwing sleeves, a cropped hem and a bateau neckline. The pullover sweater comes in dark brown tweed and sells for $1,245 at Bergdorf Goodman. For a slightly less expensive Brunello Cucinelli sweater, consider the Cropped Cashmere Cardigan, which sells at Saks for less than $1,000. This ribbed neckline cardigan has a double snap front, elbow length sleeves, a full cashmere body and comes in dark grey.

You can also find some great dresses from Brunello Cucinelli. One is the Paillete Sweater Dress, a great dress to be worn with tights and boots. The light green dress has a mixed cable knit body made of cashmere and silk. The dress has a bateau neckline, ribbed cuffs, a banded hem and includes a strapless slip. Bergdorf also carries the Ribbed Cashmere Dress, a lounge dress that comes in mink and has a mock collar, dropped shoulders and waist, a straight skirt with folded detailing and a full cashmere body. For warm weather gear, consider the Cuffed Leather Shorts, which have an ultra-soft texture. They come in mocha leather, have a drawstring paper bag waist and have a high rise. The shorts also have side slash pockets, a back flap pocket and fixed rolled cuffs. The shorts retail for $1,865, but Bergdorf currently carries them for around $750. Lastly, if you want a fashionable coat to tie the look together, take on the Double Breasted Nylon Jacket, a fur trimmed jacket with a sporty edge. The quilted navy jacket has a tabbed standing collar, a double breasted front as well as welt pockets. Lastly, if you just want to stay in and lounge in some jeans, consider the Cucinelli Slim Washed Jeans, which have a faded dark blue wash, clean back pockets, a slim cut leg and a logo patch on the back waist.
