By Kyera Giannini , last updated July 22, 2011

Avant-garde designs, saturated colors and innovate lines fill the Jeffery Campbell shoe collection. Shopping for his shoes is a feast for the eyes, the vibrant colors sometimes eye-popping bright and the designs sky-high or twined up the leg. More art than shoe, a pair of his shoes makes for a conversation piece as well as a flattering accessory. Use the guide below to learn more about the styles of shoes and where to find them.

The Styles

Booties: With fall on the horizon, the new collection houses a large selection of colored booties. Most have a covered heel, resulting in a very chunky silhouette that was make popular by Alexander McQueen and Lady Gaga. Check out Zip and Zip-2 if you like this style. A more classic silhouette but no less colorful is the lace-up Lita bootie. For an innovative platform, you must try the Skate pump that has a peep toe bootie over a heel with carved scrolls. He also offers a few dark-hued boots to the knee with heels.

Strappy Sandals: Yet another brightly colored category, the standouts in this selection are the Duncan and Munroe with their textured laces that wind around the calf. Both have a very strappy bottom with a platform heel and varying combinations of orange and aqua. To bring it down to earth is the Reality sandal that is the classic strappy top over a wooden wedge heel and the Zuma sandal with its small brown wedge heel. In the gladiator category he has the Web sandals in purple or gold python print and medium heel; they reach up to the bottom of the calf.

Ankle Strap: The hottest look for the summer, Jeffery Campbell has chic styles in this shoe. The Sue Bee has a flat platform, making it extra trendy, and a covered toe. For the fall season or when you need a more formal shoe (or just want to have fun), check out the demure Monet pump that has a pink strap over the toe, covered sides and a pink ankle strap on top of a wooden wedge heel.

Flats: Even his flats have innovative cuts and designs. Besides the classic ballerina flats like the Hey Girl, he offers the suede Yuki flat for fall and the python printed Big Bow flat for summer that has a large bow over the toe and a back ankle strap. The Mindy-2 and Bottle have an unusual d’Orsay cut out pattern, making them very sophisticated. Go for Stoney if you like embellishments.

Where to Buy

Jeffery Campbell Website: Slightly difficult to navigate, the website does not allow you to purchase the shoes. You can go to the Retailer section and find your state, under which all of the boutiques that carry his line are listed.

Nordstrom: This department store has a good selection of shoes, including the recent fall collection items. You can shop online or in stores; it is best to start online to view the entire collection and then call ahead to your store to see if they have it in stock.

Online: Go to Polyvore.com first, an online search engine that will look through online boutiques and stores to find the item you want. Click on the picture you like to go to the website that sells the item. Also try Shopstyle.com, a similar website. Then move on to discount designer sites like Overstock.com and Bluefly.com. The selection is smaller but the prices are much better.
