Simple Ideas for Easter Crafts

These simple Easter crafts will keep both kids and adults entertained. They materials you might have around the house already and don't take much time to make either.

Miniature Easter Basket:

Materials:

  • Small or medium Styrofoam bowl
  • Colored pipe cleaners (pastel colors recommended)
  • Thin white ribbon
  • Pink acrylic paint
  • Easter grass or shredded tissue paper

Paint the Styrofoam bowl and allow to dry. Then twist the pipe cleaners together to form one. Stick each end of the pipe cleaner into one side of the bowl so it forms a handle. Make are to poke it through and bend each end up and around to make it secure. Fill the bowl with Easter grass. Finally tie ribbon around each base of the handle to make a bow

Bunny Ears:

Materials:

  • White poster board
  • Pink construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • White glue
  • Tape
  • Optional for decorating: stickers, markers, crayons, colored pencils

Cut the poster board into 2-inch wide strips, that are about 2-feet long. Cut 2 bunny ear shapes out of white poster board, about 8 inches long and 3 inches wide. Cut 2 more similar, but slightly smaller, shapes out of the pink paper. Glue the pink shape into the center of the white ears. Glue both ears on to the inside of the white band (place so they will be about an inch apart and behind the head). Finally, tape band to fit head and be your own Easter bunny!

Marshmallow Bunny:

Materials:

  • Rabbit patterns (printed from computer, front and back of rabbit)
  • Cardboard or cardstock
  • Crayons
  • 1 marshmallow
  • 1 cotton ball
  • Blue
  • Scissors

Print out the rabbit pattern you find. Glue the picture on to a yardstick. Next, color in the rabbit and cut out to shape. Put the rabbit front cut out face down and glue marshmallow on back. Glue the back of the rabbit to the other side of the marshmallow. Glue cotton ball on the rabbits back cut out for tail. Allow to dry and start having fun!

Tip: use icing instead of glue to make it more edible!
