If you want to go skydiving in Las Vegas, there are a number of different options available to you. Considering you can do just about everything else in Las Vegas, skydiving makes perfect sense, as the view from thousands of feet up in just about any place in the world is pretty spectacular. Just reconsider doing this in the summer months when it is swelteringly hot in the Nevada desert, as you'll be sweating constantly, especially considering there will be a skydiving instructor strapped to your back. Check out some of the best places to skydive in Las Vegas, listed below.
Skydive Las Vegas
Skydive Las Vegas is considered the premiere professional skydiving company in Las Vegas, known for having the highest skydive in all of Nevada, as people jump from fifteen thousand feet, meaning they will have an even longer free fall. They call themselves experts for first-time skydivers, making everyone who wants to throw themselves out of plane from thousands of feet up with nothing but a parachute feel comfortable and have the time of their lives. They have been in operation since 1993 and regularly have brand new equipment, so their safety is top notch. From the place you jump, there will be a view of the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, the Colorado River and the Valley of Fire. Jump prices are two hundred dollars per person, and you can have a video of your jump to commemorate your brush with death for another two hundred dollars or so more.
Vegas Extreme Skydiving
Vegas Extreme Skydiving is a smaller skydiving operation but one that takes you to the same heights and extremes of all the other skydiving companies in the Vegas area. Skydivers jump from three miles up and fall at one hundred and forty miles per hour, helping the "Extreme" in the name of Vegas Extreme Skydiving to truly deliver. Vegas Extreme Skydiving will also pick you up from just about wherever you are staying in Vegas in shuttle vans and take you out to the planes, meaning you can be sipping Pina Coladas at Caesar's Palace one minute and then falling out of the sky the next. All of this only costs two hundred dollars per person and the Vegas Extreme Skydiving crew is as professional as they come. The only requirements are that you are over 18 years of age and weigh less than 240 pounds.
Sin City Skydiving
Sin City Skydiving takes a more Vegas-type approach to talking about their skydiving business and deals when trying to draw in first-time jumpers, as they offer free t-shirts for everyone who jumps, along with a free super stretch limousine shuttle for all skydivers. All these frills stop when it comes to actually skydiving, as the team at Sin City Skydive has some of the most experienced instructors out there, many of whom have done over fifteen thousand jumps and have worked as pilots for years. All instructors are US Parachute Association Members as well, meaning that everyone is well-trained by the best in the parachuting world. Each skydive through Sin City Skydiving is two hundred dollars per person, as well.
