Look for Store Sales Online
Check the websites of Sears, Lowe's or Home Depot regularly to see if they have any specials on lawn mowers. These larger pieces of lawn equipment will often be marked way down around the end of the year or the end of a specific season, as they will be trying to make room for new pieces of inventory. Checking these sites regularly will take a bit of time and effort each day, but it's the best way to get the jump on these sales when they are happening.

Craigslist.org is one of the best resources for finding good, used products for cheap. Someone in your local Craigslist area will have lawn mowers for sale, though it may not be the specific type of lawn mower you are looking for. If you find a lawn mower that looks good based on the Craigslist post, call the person up and go inspect the mower.
