Top Five Online MBA Programs

An online MBA program allows you to expand your skill set and move up in your career from the comfort of your home. Students enrolled in online MBA programs take basic business classes and learn managerial strategies, marketing, and other skills in order to be successful in the upper levels of business and management. The top five programs provide students with the tools for success.
University of Phoenix
Students have the opportunity to take classes from faculty members who have worked directly with Fortune 500 companies and have a wealth of experience in the business world. As part of the program, students may choose to focus on accounting, marketing, or a specific field of management, including health care management, global management or technology management. Students take classes one at a time to allow them to focus on the material, and each class lasts six weeks.
Penn State University
Penn State’s online MBA program lasts two years, during which time students take courses in finance, accounting, marketing and operations. Students focus on six different areas to make sure they receive a well-rounded education that includes the most important issues of business. Those areas include: strategic planning, information analysis, customer and market, leadership, human resources and process management. All participants are required to complete two residency requirements where the work directly with a business firm and participate in a business simulation activity at Penn State.
Northeaster University’s online MBA program allows students to combine the prestige of Northeastern University with the flexibility of an online education. Students must choose to specialize in one of eight areas: finance, healthcare management, innovation & entrepreneurship, high technology management, marketing, international management, operations & supply chain management or sustainability. Students take 17-courses in order to complete the program, with five elective courses related to their area of specialization. Each course lasts from three to seven weeks. With only a few additional courses, students may also opt to earn a dual Master’s in Finance and MBA.
The University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business offers a competitive online MBA program. Students will participate in online courses of 10 to 15 individuals taught in live and asynchronous formats by current faculty of the Kenan-Flagler School of Business. As part of the program, students will follow the university’s quarter system and take exams at the end of each quarter. Students will also be required to participate in a three-day immersion experience, held at locations throughout the U.S., at the end of each quarter. The MBA program lasts four quarters.
Indiana University’s online MBA program offers world-class MBA degree from the Kelley School of Business. Students enrolled in the program come from countries across the world, which gives you a diverse group of classmates to interact with and learn from. In addition to interactive classes and distinguished faculty, students enrolled in the program must attend Kelley Connect Weeks, which allow them to with faculty and take a class face-to-face with a professor. The two-year program requires two week-long residencies. Upon graduation, students have access to the largest MBA alumni network in the world with over 95,000 graduates.
