There are a number of different places where you can buy knit caps. They’re great at covering your head and keeping you warm as well as looking stylish. A wide variety of different knit caps exist out there, some which are more stylish and warmer than others. The list of places to look to buy a knit cap below will help you to choose the right ones.
Sporting Goods Stores
Sporting goods stores sell all types of things relating to sports as well as all the accessories that you will need when playing these sports. So if a sporting goods store sells anything relating to skiing, then they will undoubtedly carry knit caps, as having articles of clothing which will keep your body warm while you ski is integral to being able to ski on a regular basis. These knit caps may be limited in selection at these sporting goods store (though this will vary from location to location) and may be made from a heavier fabric then most other knit caps. In other words, these knit caps which are meant for skiing may be a little too warm or loud in their colors and design to be worn around casually as you're go-to wintertime hat.
Outdoor Apparel Stores
There are a variety of outdoor apparel stores which sell clothing that is meant to be worn in the elements and in nature. These are stores like Patagonia and REI, who make clothing that is waterproof, warm and not sold in most other retail stores. They use fabrics and materials which aren't common in most types of clothing and because of this, often have clothes which are much more expensive then clothes at more mainstream retailers. That said a pair of two hundred dollar pants at Patagonia will last for decades, while the same pants from another store will probably wear out after a few years. These outdoor apparel stores also sell a wide variety of knit caps, most which are simple in their coloring and design, not sporting any brand or team logos. Despite the fact that these knit caps will probably be some of the more expensive ones you buy, they will definitely last, making them a perfect hat to take into the cold and wet outdoors, especially on a long camping trip.
Shopping Online
One of the most frustrating things about shopping for clothing online is not being able to try it on. However, when it comes to knit caps in most cases, one size pretty much fits all. Sure there are children’s' sizes and small, medium and large heads, but as long as you can ball park it, you can probably find a knit cap that will fit you. This gives you the freedom to peruse the internet and buy just about any knit cap that meets your fancy from just about any retailer who has a website and have it shipped to you. This is a great way to find a knit cap you can wear casually in colder weather.
