Casual, sleeveless tank tops are one of the more comfortable garments a man can have in his wardrobe, and there are many places online which sell tank styles ranging from basic to showy. Whether you're looking for a simple, monochromatic tank to wear as another layer under a long sleeve, or looking for a flashy, attention-getting patterned tank to wear all by itself on a warm day, affordable men's tank choices are plentiful. When shopping for a tank, bear in mind not only what you're looking for stylistically, but also what you intend to use your tank tops for. Specifically, all cotton or mostly cotton tanks are perfect if they're meant merely for fashion, but polyester tanks with moisture wicking and/or anti-microbial capabilities are better as exercise or athletic wear.
All men's tank top prices quoted in this article are accurate as of October 2011.
Gap offers three basic colors of men's ribbed tank tops this Fall: white, grey and black. These tank tops are made of 100% cotton and are pre-washed to create a soft-to-the-touch feel. The shirts also maintain their shape longer than other tank tops, due in large part to the cleverly topstitched seams. The thinness of the Gap men's tank tops makes them perfect for comfortable layering on days of variable temperature.
The Gap men's ribbed tank tops come in packs of two, and are priced at $19.95.
