There are several locations in the United States where you can get the ride of your life and experience indoor skydiving. If you've ever dreamed of jumping out of an airplane but don't think you can work up the nerve, fear not! It's possible to experience the same rush from indoor skydiving. Several spots in the US and abroad let you feel the wind against your face as you hover weightless in the air. Check out these popular places for indoor skydiving.

Vegas Indoor Skydiving
Since 1982, Vegas Indoor Skydiving has entertained visitors looking for that special adrenaline rush. The facility offers a free fall skydiving experience generated by a vertical wind tunnel which can support average sized adults. To ensure safety, the skydiving room is equipped with a mesh trampoline floor and padded walls. Participants wear flight gear and receive a short training tutorial in which they learn how to position the body to get the best quality flight and learn advice for preventing injuries. There is also a short practice session to learn how to enter and exit the wind tunnel safely.
The experience is open to people of all ages, but there is a 40 pound minimum weight requirement for children. In addition, there are different weight limitations based on height for men and women. Participants should wear comfortable clothes, socks, and secure shoes. Prices vary according to season, and there are family and friend packages available, which come with a souvenir DVD.
SkyVenture Colorado
Designed by NASA engineers, SkyVenture Colorado's 1200 horsepower fan generates winds up to 160 mph. The result is a blast of fresh air that suspends you in free fall. The facility offers sessions for beginners, repeat customers, and experienced skydivers. Beginner sessions teach basic positions and safety skills. If you want more, there are coaching classes providing instruction in turning left and right 360 degrees, moving forwards and backwards, and flying head down. Customers can purchase the skydiving experience in minute increments or sessions up to 60 minutes. Gift certificates to Skyventure are the perfect gift for adrenaline junkies. Reservations are required.
iFLY
With locations in Seattle, Hollywood, San Francisco Bay, Utah, Orlando, Dubai, and Singapore, the iFLY experience is open to participants as young as 3 years old. There is no maximum age limit, but participants must be in good health and not have former spine or shoulder injuries. Multiple fans and wind streams create a tunnel of air that lets you experience the closest thing to human flight.
Before entering the chamber, you listen to an instructional session to learn how to wear the flight gear and how to position the body for the best flight sensation. At iFLY, there's no need to worry about falling because the specially engineered wind stream is easily controlled to let you land safely. Participants over 6 feet tall must weigh less than 250 pounds. Participants under 6 feet tall must weigh less than 230 pounds. Customers under the age of 19 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or provide a signed waiver.
