What Age Is a Young Adult?

The MIT Center for Work, Family & Personal Life states that young adulthood is generally viewed as the ages between 18 and 25. In certain cases, young adulthood is defined as the ages between 18 and 22.

As people age, they are placed into different age categories. Age categories typically involve adolescence, young adulthood and later adulthood. According to the MIT Center for Work, Family & Personal Life, young adulthood is considered a developmental period.
