I made this recipe after reading other reviews on it. I doubled the amount of cinnamon and used 7 cups of apple juice + 3 cups of water. The first time I made it I used the amount of cornstartch called for. It was a little thinner than what I would have liked. I made it again using 1 1/2 cups Clear

"This recipe makes 7 quart jars of filling for apple pies. 2 quarts make a 9 inch pie. Need to have 7 one quart canning jars, with rings and lids."

I got this recipe for the USDA on canning. It does not say to give a water bath so I don't think this recipe needs it, but if you want to, do it about 25 minutes in hot water bath.

This came to me as a Christmas present. I made 2 pies from this and they were wonderful.
