1. Cream i the butter until light. 2. Slowly add the sugar. 3. Beat until light and fluffy. 4. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. 5. Fold i in the sifted flour and baking powder. 6. Pour mixture into prepared 8 inch round pans. 7. Bake i 25-30 minutes at 375 degrees until the cake pulls gently
In a food processor or blender process or blend lemon zest and sugar until finely ground, about 1 minute. Pour into large mixing bowl. Add softened butter. Beat at med speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Set aside.
