This spicy, yet creamy sauce covers that occasional "fish taste". Makes a great family dinner when paired with potato salad and green beans - or go for a lighter taste with rice and a side salad.
2 lb. Halibut Fillets 1 cup sour cream 1/2 cup mayonnaise /2 cup onions, finely chopped 1/2 package Uncle Dan's salad dressing Drain and pat dry. Combine ingredients and spread over Halibut in shallow baking pan. Bake at 500 F for 15-20 minutes, depending on thickness of Fillets.
1. Arrange the halibut steaks in a buttered baking dish. 2. Mix together the cider, mace and herbs and pour over the fish. 3. Cover the dish and bake in a preheated moderately hot oven 200°C (400°F) Gas mark 6 for 15 to 20 minutes or until the fish will flake easily.
1. Butter an ovenproof dish. Place the halibut in dish, add the lemon juice, bay leaves, wine or stock, peppercorns and seasonings and cover with oil. Bake in the oven at 180°C (350f) mark 4 for 15 - 20 minutes.
