People who buy large quantities of beef, such as a beef quarter side, will need a freezer that is between 2 to 3 cubic feet in size.
For food safety reasons, it is wise to follow guidelines in the storage of different types of meats. For example, ground beef can be stored between 3 to 4 months in a freezer that is below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Fresh beef steaks can be kept in a freezer between 6 to 12 months.
