I got this recipe from my mother-in-law after having it for breakfast at her house. I've never made it myself, but it was so delicious, I thought I'd share. I'm not sure if you can use another type of oil, so any reviews using a different oil would be appreciated.

This is a yummy dish to serve for breakfast or dinner.

Sausage Hash Brown Casserole Makes 6 servings. 12 ounces bulk turkey sausage (not slices) 1 red bell pepper, chopped 1-1/2 cups 1% milk, divided 3-1/2 tsp cornstarch 1 pound frozen shredded potatoes, OR 2 cups shredded potatoes 1/2 cup chopped fresh chives 3/4 cup (3 ounces) reduced-fat shredded

Combine the rest of the ingredients. Put half of the mixture into a greased 13x9 pan. Sprinkle with the sausage. Cover with remaining potato mixture. Bake @ 350º for 45 minutes, or until golden.

Fry hash browns lightly along with onions, layers of meat, eggs , and cheese. Make...sour cream. Pour over casserole . Bake at 375...after removing it from oven.

Brown sausage , drain well. Thaw hash browns to room temperature....onions and peppers. Beat eggs and milk together, then...inch pan, cover with cheese . Bake at 350...for 5 minutes before serving.
