Removing a pound cake from a Bundt pan requires turning the cake over, a maneuver known as inverting. The top of the cake is turned upside down over a plate. The cake slides onto the plate and is ready for further cooling or a topping.
Bundt pound cakes are very decorative but require careful handling while taking them out of the pan after baking. To ensure that a cake slides easily out of the pan, the pan must be thoroughly greased with cooking oil or cooking spray. Dusting the pan with a light layer of flour is also helpful. Greasing nonstick and silicone Bundt pans is recommended to avoid sticking problems.
