As of April 2014, the President of Egypt is Adly Mansour, who is acting as the interim leader until the government drafts a new constitution and organizes the next election. A new leader is likely to be elected in 2014.
Adly Mansour was sworn in as Egypt's interim leader after the previous President, Mohamed Morsi, was removed from the position by force in July 2013. Mansour is a judge and president of Egypt's Supreme Constitutional Court, and he does not represent any of Egypt's political parties. Mansour does not plan to stand in future elections. Egypt also has a Prime Minister, who is currently Ibrahim Mahlab.
