1. Gather the players

This game can be played with as few as four players but is more fun with at least five players. This card game may not be ideal for children who cannot hold many cards in their hands, since at times a player has to hold a large number.

2. Shuffle decks together, and deal

The game is played with four entire decks, including the jokers. Add extra jokers and deuces to make the game more interesting, if desired. The dealer deals at least seven cards to each player but can deal more. Cards not dealt are stacked in the middle of the table where players can draw, and one card is placed next to it to start the discard pile.

3. Play from the starting card in the discard pile

The card in the discard pile is considered the first card "played" and affects play in the following ways: if the card is a King, the order of play is reversed and goes to the dealer's right rather than to the left. If the card is an eight, the first player is skipped, and the next player lays down a card. If the card is a Jack, the first player gets to choose the suit that will be played at that time. 5. End the hand

The player who lays down his last card that is not a two or a joker ends the hand. Everyone else gets to add up the cards in their hands. If a player lays down his last card, and it is a two or a joker, the play continues with other players adding twos and jokers until they run out.

6. Score the cards

The cards are scored. Jokers are 50, and twos are 20. Aces are 15, face cards and 10s are 10. Cards between three and nine are five. Whoever has the lowest score when someone gets to 500 wins the game.
