Actress Karen Dotrice made her screen debut at the age of eight playing a young Scottish girl who grieves over her beloved cat in the Disney adaptation of Paul Gallico's Thomasina (1963). She went on to appear in more Disney films through the decade and then disappeared until 1977 when she played her first adult role in Joseph Andrews (1977). Her last film appearance came the following year with a starring role in The Thirty Nine Steps.
