Biography by Sandra Brennan
Born in Abrud, Romania, and raised in Dayton, OH, actor Nick Stuart was a handsome, athletic leading man in many Hollywood films of the late '20s and early '30s. Before coming to Hollywood as a prop boy in the mid-'20s, Stuart worked as a shipping clerk. He became an actor in 1927 after getting more experience as a script clerk and an assistant cameraman. After leaving films, Stuart led his own orchestra until the early '60s, when he opened a men's clothing store in Biloxi, MS.
