A Great Dane and black Labrador retriever mix is known as a Labradane. These dogs generally live six to 12 years and weigh from 100 to 180 pounds. These hybrid dogs have loose ears and a straight, short, thick and glossy single coat.
Labradanes shed an average amount and should be groomed weekly. It is also recommended that they be moderately exercised, such as with a daily walk. They are an easily trained breed. Labradanes have fewer health problems in general than purebred dogs. They are, however, prone to issues common in both retriever and Great Dane breeds, such as stiff joints.
