Q:

What does a weasel look like?

A:

A weasel's coat ranges from tan to dark brown along the back and features a white to cream underbelly, often with a wavy border between colors. Weasels have sharply pointed snouts; small, triangular heads; black eyes and small, rounded ears.

Including their short tails, weasels reach between 8.6 and 15 inches long and weigh just 4.2 to 7 ounces, with males substantially larger than females. The body of the weasel is slim and elongated, and the animal has short legs and a flexible spine. The nocturnal weasel is spotted in forests, open woodlands and plains throughout North America, Asia, Europe and northern Africa.
