The "other" in your question is the issue. General admission means seating that is not reserved, i.e. first come first choice. Standing room does not have seating involved.

General admission means there is no reserved seating. It can be standing or if it is outdoors, there is usually lawn seating.

I have never heard of gold. It's probably right up by the stage. Alot of the time they advertise GA but it is not entirely. In '09 Motley Crue had pit passes. Right in front of the stage. That's what gold sounds like.

Believe me, there are people standing there right now to get in. That's the way it is. I would consider getting there at least mid afternoon, to try to get something close. The doors should open around 5, so 2-3 at the latest. Good Luck!
