1930 1940 Hairstyles?

Answer

In the 1930s, women kept their hair short and framed around their heads in curls. They usually put their hair up in pin curls, which resulted in a head full of tight curls. Usually, their hair was close-cut, and kept off the collar, or slightly touching the collar. In the 1940s, women couldn't buy much clothes due to the restrictions WWII placed on the United States. Women turned to spending more time on their hair. They grew their hair out and put their hair up in rollers, which provided a softer look. The curls were longer, softer and more feminine. Victory rolls, or victory curls, were large rolls of hair that framed the face, or sat on top of the head.
