4 Digit Number Possible Combinations?

There are 10, 000 possible combinations of a 4 digit number. The way it is calculated, is to take the number of possiblities in first spot, then do the same for the second, third and fourth spots. The last step is to multiply 10x10x10x10 which equals 10, 000.
