Ok so i just recently changed the dram frequency in my bios from auto to 800mhz and my voltage to 2.00v(like its supposed to be at) to make sure i have everything configured and stable i checked in cpu-z and the dram frequency is showing only 480mhz.why would it be showing only half the frequency that i set in the bios?

Actually you over clocked the RAM! your using Double data ram .the CPU-Z shows the freq at the single rate .so 480 x 2 = 960 .the ram is rated for 800!
