5 Months in the Womb?

Answer

The 5 month old fetus begins to gain weight in the womb due to fat deposits under its skin which help to control body temperature. The normal weight for a fetus at this stage of pregnancy is around one pound. The fetus is usually 10 to 12 inches long at this point and is about the size of a football. The fetus is also covered with a white substance called vernix which keeps the fetus's skin from peeling from all the fluid it has absorbed. The fifth month of pregnancy is a milestone and the pregnancy is halfway through.
