Cats Go off to Die?

Answer

It is normal for cats to go off to die. Some people say the reason why is instinctive. Cats come from the family of wild animals. They are related to both the tiger and the lion. Many wild animals are known for the habit of wandering off to die alone, away from the pack. The reason why may be to keep the smell of death away from the pack. They may also do this to draw predators away from the pack, especially the young members of the pack. This is a way to protect the pack. Deep down cats may also be trying to protect their owners from seeing their deaths and being sad, as well.
