Constitutional isomers are described as molecular compounds which may have the same makeup, but are connected in different ways. To be a constitutional isomer, there must be the same number of each molecule in the different compounds, and they must be connected differently. There are at least five constitutional isomers to the compound of C6H12. The molecules of the compound can be connected in different ways to make different compounds. Some of the compounds that can be made are: hexane, 2-methylpentane, and 3-methylpentane.
