Who Is the Protagonist Character in Crimes of the Heart?

Answer

Crimes of the Heart is a 1986 film directed by Bruce Beresford and written by Beth Henley. All three of the sisters can be classified as protagonist characters. They are all central to the story. The character of Babe, who shot her husband, appears to be portrayed sympathetically from the synopsis which would disqualify her being an antagonist (the opposite of a protagonist). The reason that it would be correct to consider all three sisters protagonists is because the main plot involves the resolving of problems for all three characters.
