Disadvantages of Petroleum?

Answer

Petroleum is a type of fossil fuel that is used to power most vehicles. Is it widely used, but also has many disadvantages. These disadvantages are cost, environmental impacts, and availability. The costs of petroleum tend to fluctuate, but ever since 2002 to 2003, the costs have nearly tripled. Environmental impacts are a big concern. Petroleum does not burn clean, adding to the greenhouse gases. It also can cause widespread contamination in the event of a spill. Since it is a fossil fuel, there are only limited resources of petroleum left on Earth.
