Academic goals are goals set by a student or parent to reach a certain level of academic excellence in school or college. Academic goals are set to plan and provide motivation and to work out personal issues which might get in the way of reaching a students' personal goal. Examples of academic goals include raising a grade point average, working out an efficient study program, receiving higher scores on tests and writing or reading faster.
