Carnivores are animals that eat meat, either raw or cooked. Cats and dogs are examples of carnivores, as are humans. Wild cats, wild dogs, all small creatures such as rabbits and squirrels are all examples of carnivores. Other examples of carnivores include any animal that only eats the meat of other animals or insects. Animals that eat both meat and vegetables are called omnivore. Animals that eat only vegetables are called herbivores. Carnivores will consume other carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores.
