Examples of Subcultures?

Answer

A subculture is a group within a larger culture that often has goals and aspirations that are at odds with those of the larger culture. Subcultures differentiate themselves from the larger culture by the way they dress, the way they act, the music they listen to, by taking drugs or drinking, by who they associate with, and by who they love or hate. There are also ethnic subcultures in most cities, states, and towns as well, for example the Hmong in Minnesota. Examples of subcultures include punks, stoners, goths, bisexuals, lesbians, homosexuals, beatniks, bikers, jocks, hackers, metalheads, hip-hop, and rappers.
