How Fast Do Airplanes Fly?

Answer

How fast an airplane flies depends on the type of airplane being flown. A standard 747 can travel at speeds of up to 600 miles per hour, smaller planes are able to go at quicker speeds but the amount of passengers decrease. Most of the commercial airlines only travel at speeds of about 500 miles per hour. Not all airlines run the same speed, but if a passenger were curious a lot of times the flight crew is filled with fun little facts about the plane in which they are flying upon and are happy to share those facts. Guinness Book claims that the fastest airplane ever flown went up 2193 miles per hour.
