How long do you wait to wash your hair after coloring it?

Answer

Maintenance is an important part of getting the best results out of your new hair color. How long you should wait to wash your hair after coloring will depend on the type of coloring used. It is recommended that you use shampoos and conditions designed specifically for color-treated hair. If you swim regularly, use a clarifying shampoo to remove any build up. After coloring you should try to wait at least 24 to 48 hours before you wash your hair.
