There are fifty-nine species of eagles which can be found throughout the world. The species of eagles are classified into five categories. The categories are Snake Eagles, Sea Eagles, Booted Eagles, Fish Eagles, and Harpy Eagles. A well known example of a Sea Eagle is the Bald Eagle which is commonly found in parts of the United States. The Golden Eagle is a common species of Booted Eagles. The Harpy Eagles are rarely found and are nearing extinction.
